Our Animal Hospital Services

Dental Care
Dental care is one of the most important aspects of health care in pets. Proper oral hygiene can improve a pet’s overall quality of life. Our dental cleanings include ultrasonic scaling, high-speed polishing, and barrier sealant. We also have the equipment and tools needed to perform extractions if necessary.
Radiology
At the California Veterinary Clinic, we have the capability to take digital radiographs. With this technology we are able to produce high quality images quickly.
Non-Medical Services
Is trimming your dog’s nails a hassle and what are anal glands? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. At the California Veterinary Clinic we provide a variety of non-medical services such as nail trims and anal gland expression.

Surgery
We understand that surgery can be very stressful for you and your pet, but rest assured the staff at the California Veterinary Clinic will be with your pet every step of the way. Prior to surgery we recommend pre-anesthetic bloodwork to ensure your pet is healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. During the procedure, a technician is assigned to monitor your pet. Here are a few examples of the surgeries we perform:
Elective surgeries such as spays, neuters, gastropexys
Mass removal
Certain orthopedic procedures
Wellness Exams
One of the best ways to ensure your animal is healthy is to provide them with the proper preventative care. At the California Veterinary Clinic, we perform routine appointments, which allows the veterinarian to perform a thorough physical examination. These examinations allow us to get an overall idea of your pet’s health. We can then address any concerns we have and perform further diagnostics if needed. Heartworm tests and fecal examinations are also recommended to ensure your pet continues to be protected by preventative medications or will help us determine when preventative medication to place your animal on. During these appointments, we will also discuss diet, lifestyle change, behavior changes, and any other concerns you may have.
Pharmacy and Lab Services
At the California Veterinary Clinic we have an in-clinic pharmacy that allows us to prescribe a variety of medications that can be taken home on the same day as your pet’s hospital stay or routine appointment. We have many medications on hand such as nutraceuticals, heartworm preventatives, flea/tick control products, medicated shampoos, any many more. We also have an in-house comprehensive reference laboratory which allows our doctors the ability to quickly assess your pet’s condition. The ability to perform in-house bloodwork allows our doctors a more thorough diagnostic approach to your pet’s health.
